Privacy Policy
Effective date: 4 November 2026
This website (the “Site”) is owned and operated by CRCS Legal Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12147678), whose registered office is at 20 Market Hill, Southam, Warwickshire, CV47 0HF. CRCS Legal Ltd is the data controller for the personal data collected through the Site and can be contacted at enquiries@crcslegal.com or on 0330 221 0511.
Purpose
This Privacy Policy explains:
- the personal data we collect through the Site;
- how we use that data;
- who has access to it;
- your rights as a user of the Site; and
- the cookies the Site uses.
Data protection law
We process personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For users in the European Union, we also adhere to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR).
Legal basis for processing
We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so:
- Consent: for analytics cookies, which are only set if you accept them.
- Legitimate interests: to reply to enquiries you send us through the Site and to keep the Site secure.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, using “Cookie Settings” at the foot of every page or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Personal data we collect
Data you give us
When you send an enquiry through a form on the Site, we collect:
- your first and last name;
- your email address;
- your company name, if you give it; and
- the message you write, and the page or service you were enquiring about.
Data collected automatically
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the Site, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the links you click, your approximate location and the type of device and browser you use. Your IP address is processed by Google to provide this service.
To protect our forms from spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is being sent by a person. It processes technical information about your browser and connection for that purpose only.
How we use personal data
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the information or services you ask about.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it (only with your consent).
- To keep the Site and its forms secure.
We will not use your data for any other purpose without telling you first.
Who we share personal data with
Your data is available only to members of our team who need it to deal with your enquiry. We use service providers to host the Site, deliver form emails, protect the forms from spam (Cloudflare) and, with your consent, measure use of the Site (Google). They process data on our behalf and under our instructions.
We will not sell your data or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it, for legal proceedings, or to establish or defend our legal rights.
If you follow a link from the Site to another website, we are not responsible for that website’s privacy practices.
How long we keep personal data
We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it, and as required by law. Analytics data is kept by Google for 14 months.
How we protect personal data
The whole Site is served over an encrypted (SSL) connection, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it. While we take all reasonable precautions, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your rights
Under data protection law, you have the right:
- to be informed about how your data is used;
- of access to the data we hold about you;
- to have inaccurate data corrected;
- to have your data erased;
- to restrict how your data is processed;
- to data portability; and
- to object to processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at enquiries@crcslegal.com.
Children
The Site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have, we will delete it as soon as possible.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. The Site sets no cookies unless you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. If you do, it uses:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors so we can count visits | 2 years |
| _ga_GT2WGRHYZW | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a visit | 2 years |
Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie), so the banner does not reappear on every page. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie Settings” at the foot of every page, or block cookies in your browser settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law or in how we handle personal data. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
